jamestynan the tradeoff here is "i can deal with my receiver's horrid remote" but fwiw it's possible w/ old tech, i have a 2011 onkyo receiver(3.1 setup), a 2014 plasma, a 2016 apple tv, 99% of the time we use the receiver remote for everything (except for inputting 🍎pwd)
