buzz js tools like yarn allow you to 'freeze' your dependencies alongside your codebase making installs completely predictable rather than falling back to freshly resolved packages, it's just nontrivial to get it working & people _hate_ storing tarballs in git so ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭On twitter.com
