@lil_morgy no, not essential, it's def an interesting and weird show that has a real strong vibe (think carnivale) but also this weird 'of the moment' piece of anime like ghost in the shell ('95), the end of an era of a kind of animation but unlike gits incredibly flawed (like carnivale).
