@benzobot emilyst I still use Lightroom but I had some good luck around 2016 using alienskin exposure, it was less catalog oriented and more focused on creating artistic effects. They have a trial that’s worth checking out. It saves all the edits in sidecar xmp files which LR also semi-supports.
